The Lord’s Prayer

For many years, I have been aware that Jesus said to pray the Lord’s Prayer daily. I have used this prayer myself, working on it, fine tuning it, etc. I know that the expansion of awareness and consciousness in all areas of my life are exponentially related to the following:

THE LORD’S PRAYER, A Metaphysical Interpretation

Prescription: Use once daily in the morning to empower you and to connect with your Source, magnetizing your highest good into your life expression.

Matthew 6:6: “But for you, when you pray, enter into your inner chamber and lock your door, and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father, who sees in secret, shall himself reward you openly.” I am the doorkeeper of my mind, so I close the door mentally on the confusion, painful emotions, and fears of the outer world, and enter into my quiet, secret place. I still my thoughts and emotions and declare, “Peace, Be Still!” The Lord is in His Holy Temple. Let all the earth keep silence before Him. With this attitude, I now pray:

Our Father     (For I know that the Father and I are One.)

Which art in Heaven,     (Inside of me.)

Hallowed by Thy Name.     (Through peace of mind.)

Thy Kingdom Come,     (Through my convictions and beliefs–what I can conceive of and believe in, I can achieve!)

Thy Will be done          (For I know that Thy Will and my will are one will.)

In Heaven     (The unformed state–thoughts and emotions–the invisible)

As it is on Earth.     (The formed state–things–the visible)

Give us this day our Daily Bread.     (Out of Thy Spiritual Universe, Father-Mother God, create our needs for this day, spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional, including a deep awareness of the presence of the Living God within me, Emmanuel.)

Forgive us our offenses as we forgive those who offend us.     (I understand and accept the Law of Cause and Effect, and the wisdom o the Law of Forgiveness. I now freely and fully forgive everyone, including…{specific name/situation}. I also  forgive myself fully for all of my shortcomings. I know that we are all growing and unfolding human beings, learning our lessons in this School called Life.

Let us not enter into Temptation,      (I can now choose between Peace and Confusion, Love and Hate, Light and Darkness, and Peace and Chaos.)

Deliver us from error     (For I know that, when I turn within to listen to that still small voice of my God within me, I am divinely guided and guarded into right action and correct results.)

For Thine is the Kingdom,       (For Thou art in, around and through all things, Omnipotent, Omniscient, and Omnipresent.)

And the Power       (The same Power that holds the stars in place is inside of me, giving me dominion in my life.)

And the Glory         (The same Glory that is in each sunrise, sunset, Beauty, Truth, and Love as I perceive them to be.)

Forever.            (Which happens to me one moment at a time–in my NOW!)

Amen           (Which is only the beginning.)

Thank you, Father-Mother God, In Whom I live, move and have my being.

I know that I am now filled with peace, poise, power, and calmness. I also know that I am on a path unfolding before me. I am, all at one time, caterpillar, cocoon, and butterfly in different areas of my life–mental, spiritual, physical and emotional. I look forward to the lessons I am going to learn this day, for I am more than my crawl discloses. This is the day that the Lord has made, not like tomorrow or yesterday, and I enter it with joy in living and with thanksgiving for all the good I now possess. I let it go and Let God Do The Work.

    • Thank you for your compliment. In response to your question, I have to say that centering myself is an easy thing because I have practiced it for many years. Eric Butterworth used to say that life is a wheel – one can be at the hub (center) or out on the circumference. If one lives on the circumference, one feels really busy and run over…caught up in the circumstances. However, if one lives in the hub, it is quiet. When I take God’s hand in the morning, I am living in the hub. As to clearing my head, meditation and deep breathing can accomplish that quickly. Happy writing! Enjoy your day! 🙂
