Thoughts occur to me that our lives really do move too fast. We turn around, and the day is gone. My “To Do List” just keeps growing longer. Yet I also know: If one stays in the moment, experiencing life as it comes, I am far better off than if I am just hurrying through my day and not taking the time to “be there” with whoever is in my life at that moment, whether it be time with a neighbor, a sales clerk, or a loved one. (My definition of “be there” includes really listening and responding to what is being said, sharing a smile and a good thought, etc.) Yes, I have myriad things to do, but time is what you make of it.
Cute little puppies and kitties become dogs and cats, little children grow up so quickly, and life seems to evaporate before your very eyes as you age. When you look back, you wonder where it went.
So, take a few moments today to not only stop and smell the flowers, but look around you for the precious moments and memories that are constantly being created today. Are you willing to get off your merry-go-round long enough to do so?

In response to your question, I always keep a separate copy of my posts so that I have it backed up, and I have an exterior hard drive for this as well.
